Survey of Indigenous communities in Alberta and British Columbia found a majority were in favour of resource development

Canadian Energy Centre Indigenous Content Producer Gregory John sat down with Global News Radio host Danielle Smith on Monday, July 13 to discuss his research into First Nations’ support of oil and gas projects in Alberta and B.C.

A survey of 250 First Nations in Canada’s western-most provinces found that despite the popular narrative often used by industry opponents, a majority of those nations who have taken a public position on oil and gas development are in favour.
